报告摘要:Enzymes have been widely used in the textile wet processing. The precise reaction specificity of an enzyme has been utilised for specific or targeted textile finishing without causing undesirable fibre damage. Laccases are important enzymes for their application in textile processing due to their great versatility and capability of catalysing the oxidation of a broad range of substrates. Laccase-catalysed in-situ dyeing process of wool and nylon fibres has been investigated as an alternative to conventional methods. A perse colour palette was created through the exploration of different aromatic compounds as laccase substrates in addition to reaction processing parameters. The laccase-catalysed coloration process demonstrated the potential to make unique textile surface patterning.

人物名片:Jinsong Shen is Professor of Textile Chemistry and Biotechnology, and Director of Textile Engineering And Materials (TEAM) Research Group at De Montfort University (DMU) in the UK. He holds BSc and MSc degrees in textile chemistry from Donghua University and a PhD in wool protein chemistry from the University of Leeds. Since joining DMU TEAM research group in 1994, Professor Shen has extensively involved in the research of wool protein fibres, development of biotechnology for the textile wet processes and functional finishing to enhance fibre properties and fabric performance. Professor Shen has been involved in a number of European Framework collaborative projects and UK research councils funded projects. He has coordinated two large EU collaborative projects in the research of bio-engineering to produce enzymes with specific activities which offer exciting opportunities for development of functional materials.

Professor Shen has also contributed book chapters to the books: “Advanced in Wool Technology”, “Advances in Textile Biotechnology” and “Sustainable Apparel” published by Woodhead publishing. His current interests lie in the areas of sustainable textile materials, textile biotechnology, sol-gel technology, antimicrobial finishing and flame retardant technology, and their applications leading to the development of protective garments and multifunctional textile materials.
